Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
I am so excited you are here! Since we are going to be getting to know each other here, I thought that I would share a little bit about me! My name is Reyna, obviously if you hadn't got that by now. Reyna in Spanish actually means queen, and is the reason why my dad chose this name in particular. Usually spelled "Reina," but my parents thought the different spelling would be special.
I graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. My desire for helping others started in high school. I had a psychology teacher that not only was phenomenal in creating life long learners, but helped plant a seed that led to my curiosity in learning more about other people and their interaction with the world.
After I graduated from college, I got engaged to my better half and planned a wedding in less than 6 months before we started on our military journey. With a Uhaul and car full, we drove across the country to Fort Benning to start our lives as newlyweds and jump right into all the Army schools. As Joseph was finishing Air Assault, Airborne and Ranger school, I was preparing for a new position that I would take with a non-profit organization once we arrived at our duty station.
In the midst of packing and praying over all the chaos that comes with PCS (permanent change of station/moving) season, we found out that we were expecting our first baby. It was the answer to a prayer that we were so excited to receive, and 10 months later we welcomed our son Ledger Briggs into the world.
I am a military mama that has a heart for community, creating a healthy and safe environment for my family, and most of all pursuing the life that I believe we have been called to live.
Thank you for joining my family and I along for the journey towards wellness, and I hope we can all find healing and happiness along the way!
