4 Steps to Implement Healing Right Now

1. Radical Acceptance: Accepting your reality for how it is, not how you want it to be. This is fully acknowledging the good, the bad and the ugly in life.


2. Check the Facts: What is actually true? What is an appropriate response?


3. Self Soothe: Do you know how to calm yourself and get grounded?

  • Mindfulness journal

  • 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding with your senses (linked below)

  • Are you actually breathing….?

  • What are some “pocket ways” I can soothe myself

4. Taking Care of Yourself

  • Are you sleeping?

  • Are you moving your body 3-4 times a week?

  • Are you eating balanced?

  • Are you connecting with others?

  • How is your hygiene?

  • Are you having mindfulness time?

  • Have you had your yearly check up/ blood work? (It is tragic when there is an underlying health issue going on such as thyroid dysfunction, and you are beating yourself up for struggling with depression).
